"More Of, Less Of": A Summer Solstice Ritual To Manifest Your Most Extraordinary Life

embodiment
Summer Solstice Journalling

The Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year, a time bursting with vibrant energy and the promise of endless possibilities. As the sun reaches its peak, it invites us to do the same – to shine our light brightly and embody the fullest expression of ourselves. āœØ

That’s why it’s the perfect time to share my “More Of, Less Of” ritual from my coaching toolbox. ā˜€ļø(If you’re in the southern hemisphere, you can also adapt this as a Winter Solstice practice).

In 5 simple steps, you’ll cultivate an embodied experience and align your actions with your vision, so that you too can become the architect of your most extraordinary life.

Here's how to create your Summer Solstice "More Of, Less Of" list.

1. Find Your Sanctuary

Grab your favourite journal
and take it outside if you can. If you feel called, you can also bring other sacred objects like crystals (such as sunstone or citrine) or essential oils (like wild orange or lemon). Find a quiet corner in your garden, walk to the park, or open a window and let the summer breeze invigorate you. Connect with nature and the radiant energy of the season.

2. Do A Body Scan

Now close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Feel the warmth of the sunshine (or visualise it!) on your skin, melting away any areas of stress or tension. Scan each part of your body from your head to your toes. Inhale and acknowledge each part with kindness. Exhale and release any tightness on the winds of your breath.

3. Imagine Your Ideal Summer

As you soften into your body, begin to envision your dream summer.
What does it look like? What are you doing? Who are you with? How do you feel? Tune in to each one of your senses and let them come alive.

4. Write Your “More Of” List

From this relaxed and embodied place, write down 3-5 things you want to experience
more of this summer to align with this vision. This could be anything that sparks joy, inspires your creativity, or nurtures your goals.

Maybe it's spending mornings meditating outdoors, taking a dance class, indulging in spontaneous adventures with the ones you love, creating spaciousness on your calendar to move a passion project forward, or saying "yes" to more invitations that light your soul.

If you need more ideas around tapping into this summer energy, I wrote this post about embracing your inner seasons and natural cycles of creativity.

5. Write Your “Less Of” List

Finally, with honesty, love and compassion, list 3-5 things you want
less of this summer. Perhaps it's the constant comparison on social media, the endless to-do list that keeps you feeling overwhelmed, procrastination, perfectionism, or working in a way that’s no longer aligned with your higher vision and heart.

Bonus! Choose Curiosity Over Judgement

And here’s a
Bonus Tip

Remember: There's no judgement! This is simply a way to bring awareness to your current patterns and make conscious choices about where you want to direct your energy this summer and beyond...

We all have limited time and energy. By consciously identifying what we want more of in our lives, we naturally create space for those things to flourish. And by acknowledging what we want less of, we can begin to shift our focus and energy away from habits and patterns that no longer serve us. ‍

Next week I’ll be starting to wind down for maternity leave, and taking a few months to cherish precious moments being present with my family and new baby.

As an ambitious and purpose-driven soul, at times I’ve witnessed myself approaching being a new mum in this way too, so I know this might be challenging for me!

So it’s MORE slowing down, softening and surrendering to the journey so I don’t miss the magic, and allowing myself to open up to this new season of life; LESS screen time, “shoulds”, expectations, “getting it right” and goals.

Now I’d love to hear from you. Share your MORE OF, LESS OF list with me in the comments below.
