When we feel blocked, we often try to think our way out, but there are always solutions beyond what we can perceive. In this episode, I’m going to show you how to connect with your inner guidance system and shake up your energy when you're feeling stuck - so you can shift your experience and find freedom, fast.
If you’re feeling stuck in a situation and can’t see the wood for the trees, remember that you can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it and you can’t attract a different experience without shaking up your energy first.
Not long ago, I was stuck in a work situation that I couldn’t see a way out of. I was upset, anxious and it was starting to overcloud my joy as well as everything else in my life. I was too close to it and focused so much on the problem, instead of the solution, that the fear continued to multiply in my mind. It felt impossible to take action.
Eventually, the thought of staying stuck became so uncomfortable that I knew I needed to shift my energy, frequency and vibration. I’d fallen out of flow with the Universe.
As I turned inwards for answers, the voice of my inner guide was clear: “do something different”.
At the time, I was on a country retreat in Wales and felt inspired to go running in the hills. When I’m stressed, I crave nature. And even though I’m notoriously bad at running, it was just what I needed to shake up my energy.
As I was running, I felt completely supported, like there were hands on my back, gently pushing me along as I breathed in the view of the mountains and exhaled stale energy and stress.
Slowly, solutions started to present themselves. I saw synchronicities and signs showing me I was on the right path. Things became clear, one tiny right action step at a time. It felt fitting that I was guided to go running.
For you, it could be putting some music on and letting your spirit move with it, driving the scenic route home or ordering a green juice instead of your usual coffee.
In your yoga practice, you can literally flip your perspective by going upside down in an inversion like a headstand or even just a downward facing dog. Side bends are also great for shifting your perspective because we don’t always look at life from a different angle.
I know a lot of us feel stuck and swayed by all the changes in the world lately, but perhaps this is the perfect opportunity to change something or an invitation to do something new in our lives to shake up that energy.
