Last week, we talked about doing our dharma, our soul's purpose, and today, I'm going to guide you through a visualisation meditation that will help you relax into your intuition and open up your inner eye to get clarity on the big work you came here to do. Get ready to step into your purpose and say yes to your deepest desires. Let's dive in.
Find somewhere quiet to sit. It could be on the floor, or a chair with your feet planted firmly on the ground.
Close your eyes. Become aware of any sounds around you, and then invite your energy and attention into your inner world. Connect with your breath. Inhale deeply and exhale completely. Feel the sensations of your breath in your body, and notice any thoughts in your mind. Tell them: “I see you, I hear you, and I’ll come back to you. Now, it’s time for stillness
Let’s breathe together. We’ll breathe in for a count of 5, hold for 5 and breathe out for 5. On your next breath, inhale for 2-3-4-5, hold 2-3-4-5, exhale 2-3-4-5. Again, breathing in for 2-3-4-5, hold 2-3-4-5, out for 2-3-4-5. Once more, in 2-3-4-5, hold 2-3-4-5, out 2-3-4-5.
Continue to breathe long and deep as you calm your nervous system and relax your body from the crown of your head, down to your jaw, neck and shoulders, your arms and hands. Soften your heart, belly and back. Heavy your hips, legs and feet.
You feel relaxed and at ease.
Now, in this calm and quiet space that you’ve cultivated, it’s time to listen closely to your inner truth. To call in the part of you that knows. To see yourself stepping into your soul's purpose and saying yes to your deepest desires.
Like a movie in your mind, visualise yourself in your highest expression as you complete these sentences:
What brings me joy is…
My greatest gifts are…
I dream about…
The struggles I’ve overcome are…
I can serve by…
My dharma, my soul's purpose is…
There’s no need to overthink the answers. Just allow them to flow through, and trust that you’ll receive the guidance you need.
Don't worry if you don't have crystal clarity yet. This practice builds each time you do it and you can return to it whenever you like. Take one more inhale and exhale completely. When you're ready, open your eyes and let in the light.
